Pastor of the Week: Norberto Gomez

Pastor Gomez wears many hats, and he does so with grace, passion, and commitment. He serves as an interim pastor, a church growth consultant, and a trainer of leaders—investing in deacons, search committee members, and Sunday school teachers so that churches can be healthy and equipped for ministry. His heart for training others reflects his deep belief that every believer has a role to play in advancing the Kingdom.

Even beyond his church-related work, Pastor Gomez demonstrates an inspiring balance of creativity and analytical skill. In his full-time profession as a data analyst, he brings precision and insight to complex problems. In ministry, he blends that sharp analysis with a creative, Spirit-led approach that helps churches discover fresh vision and practical solutions. He is a wonderful reminder that God uses all of our gifts, talents, and experiences for His glory.

For more than ten years, Pastor Gomez has faithfully served the San Felipe Baptist Association, consulting in numerous areas of church health. His ministry has been especially valuable to our Spanish-speaking congregations, where his wisdom, encouragement, and leadership have made a lasting difference. Tirelessly, he pours himself into others because he loves God, loves his family, and loves the local church.

We give thanks for Pastor Norberto Gomez and his example of dedication and service. His passion for the gospel, his heart for churches, and his commitment to equipping leaders continue to bless the work of our Association. Today, we celebrate him with gratitude and joy, thankful for all he has done and continues to do for the Kingdom.
